WellNow Urgent Care and Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield are working to end a months-long dispute affecting patient costs.

WellNow Urgent care and Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield are reportedly working to resolve a long dispute. WellNow announced in January that it no longer accepts Excellus insurance, forcing patients to pay out of market pricing.

The disagreement is over rates Excellus was willing to pay, which the Urgent Care provider says is below market. However, CNY Central reports both parties are negotiating, with Assemblyman Al Stirpe telling WAER the dispute could end soon.
