New York State Parks are in need of more law enforcement officers

New York State Parks are in need of more law enforcement officers. The State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is also hoping to increase its number of women in recruiting classes to 30% by 2030.

Recruits will receive a wide range of training in the law as well as in use of firearms, first response, along with snowmobile and ATV training.

State Parks Police handle large crowds, perform search and rescue operations, conduct investigations and make arrests. They also provide emergency services.

Those interested have until February 28 to apply.
