New York, 17 other states, San Francisco and Washington DC are suing over President Donald Trump’s Executive Order that says children of unauthorized immigrants are no longer guaranteed US citizenship.

New York Attorney General Letita James says birthright citizenship is a constitutional right given to all children born in the US.

She says the suit attempts to invalidate the executive order and stop any attempts to implement it. The lawsuit was filed in Massachusetts.
