Poultry entering New York’s live bird markets need to be tested for bird flu. That’s the latest directive from the State Department of Agriculture and Markets following the bird flu-related shut-down of 82 live bird markets in the state earlier this month.

The department says all bird markets have reopened after being clean and sterilized. People are reminded to report any possible outbreaks in wildlife through the department’s website.
