Central New York home prices jump 14% in January despite slower sales

Home prices in Central New York showed no signs of easing in January.

Home prices in Central New York showed no signs of easing in January. According to the Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors, the average price jumped 14% last month to $229,000 compared to January 2024.

Meanwhile, sales slowed by 7%, despite homebuyers having 28% more homes on the market to choose from. Realtors attribute this disparity to fewer new listings in January.
