Heavy snowfall in Oswego County has caused an unprecedented number of buildings to collapse.

Oswego County agencies have set up two hotline numbers for residents needing help after last week’s heavy snowfall collapsed an unprecedented number of buildings.

Now, residents can call 2-1-1 at any time or contact the Oswego County Phone Bank at 315-349-3330, which operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Callers requesting snow removal assistance will need to provide their name, address, contact information, and details about their need. Residents eligible for county assistance will not be charged, with priority given to the most vulnerable individuals.

Help will take at least a day to arrive after a request is made. Emergency services are warning residents to evacuate if they hear creaking or snapping sounds.
