Syracuse to host open house on updates to tree protection plan

The Syracuse Department of Parks and Recreation says that they are hosting an open house for residents to learn more about an updated plan to protect and preserve trees in the area.

This is the first time the plan has been modified since 1981. The department says that public feedback will help guide the plan over the next 20 years.

The open house will take place on Thursday, April 10, from 4 to 7 at the Southwest Community Center. Residents can learn more or submit comments at goto.syr.gov/Tree-Ordinance-Modernization.
