Syracuse travelers urged to check ID before May 7 Real ID deadline

The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority is reminding passengers to make sure they have proper identification if they plan to board a plane starting May 7. That’s the deadline to have a Real ID for domestic flights.

A Real ID can be acquired at the DMV and it has a gold star or flag in the top right corner. Airport security will also accept a passport.

Passengers who do not have proper documents may face extra screening and travel delays.
