New York State Solar Farm

In an effort to help lower income people use solar energy, the New York Public Service Commission agreed to continue offering financial incentives.

The state will add 150-million dollars out of its budget surplus to incentivize solar farms benefiting low-income populations.

It says efforts to expand solar have turned out to be cheaper than originally thought and that will mean more projects. The goal is to use clean energy to power an additional 7,000 homes.
