Traffic impacted by Crawfish Festival and Mountain Goat Run

Syracuse will host the Crawfish Festival on Saturday, May 3 and the Mountain Goat Run Sunday, May 4.

Traffic through downtown Syracuse will be heavily impacted this weekend by crawfish and - goats?

The city will host the Crawfish Festival on Saturday and the Mountain Goat Run on Sunday. To ensure everyone's safety, several streets will be closed to traffic, including South Salina Street, Erie Boulevard West, and Clinton Street.

The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic according to the City of Syracuse:

  • Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 4:
    • The 200 Block of West Water Street, from Clinton Street to Franklin Street, will become a two-way street from 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 2, through Sunday afternoon, May 4.
    • Erie Boulevard West, from Clinton Street to Franklin Street, will be closed from 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 2, through Sunday afternoon, May 4.
    • Clinton Street, from Genesee Street to Washington Street, will be closed from 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 2, through Sunday afternoon, May 4.
    • No parking will be allowed on South Salina Street from Water Street to Jefferson Street.

In addition, the following streets will be closed to traffic during the approximate time frames on Sunday, May 4, listed for the race:

  • Salina St at Clinton Sq to W. Onondaga St: 8:45 a.m. to 9:50 a.m.
  • W. Onondaga St to Onondaga Ave: 9:00 a.m. to 9:55 a.m.
  • Onondaga Ave to Bellevue Ave: 9:00 a.m. to 10:10 a.m.
  • Bellevue Ave to Summit Ave: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
  • Summit Ave to Stolp Ave: 9:00 a.m. to 10:10 a.m.
  • Stolp Ave to Hancock Dr: 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
  • Hancock Dr to Arden Dr: 9:00 a.m. to 10:25 a.m.
  • Arden Dr to Carlton Rd: 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Carlton Rd to Strathmore Dr: 9:00 a.m. to 10:35 a.m.
  • Strathmore Dr to Roberts Ave: 9:00 a.m. to 10:40 a.m.
  • Roberts Ave to Upper Onondaga Park: 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • Upper Onondaga Park to Lower Onondaga Park: 9:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.
  • Lower Onondaga Park to Creekwalk: 9:00 a.m. to 11:05 a.m.
