City leaders will speak Wednesday at a public forum on housing justice, including Good Cause protections and rental reform.

Housing in Syracuse is in crisis right now, with more than half the population living as tenants. Some are in overpriced housing, others are in slum lord situations, and many are outpriced and homeless.

Wednesday, June 4, at 6:00 residents get a chance to hear where city politicians running for office stand on renters’ rights. Deputy Mayor Sharon Owens, Councilor Hanah Ehrenreich, and Councilor-at-Large Amir Gethers are confirmed to participate.

They’ll discuss Good Cause protections, housing affordability, and ways to reform the rental registry process.

The Town Hall is happening at Victory Temple Fellowship Church, at 6:00 pm, 817 E Willow Street, Syracuse.
