Sunday kicks off bass fishing season in New York. The season runs from June 15 through November 30.

Sunday kicks off bass fishing season in New York. The season runs from June 15 through November 30.

The State Department of Environmental Conservation says there are abundant bass fishing opportunities in New York, but some waters have special regulations, so anglers should check before heading out.

The department adds that fishing contributes $5 billion to the state’s economy each year.
