If you’re noticing more state troopers on the highways around Central New York, it’s no coincidence.

This is “Speed Week” across the state. The enforcement campaign began Monday and runs through Sunday, June 15.

In addition to targeting speeders, officers in both marked and unmarked patrol cars are watching for drivers who fail to slow down or move over in construction zones or when passing emergency vehicles at work.
