The Syracuse Common Council is losing at least two incumbents next year. After Tuesday’s primary results, second district councilor and acting president Pat Hogan lost his bid for mayor, and his council term ends in December.

Meanwhile, incumbent councilor-at-large Amir Gethers won’t be on the ballot in November after failing to place in the top two. Instead, newcomer Hanah Ehrenreich advances to the general election.
