The Green Party of New York is calling on state leaders to act quickly in response to the federal budget bill signed by President Trump over the weekend.

The Green Party of New York is calling on state legislators and the Governor to hold an emergency session to address the impact of the budget bill signed by President Trump over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

The party says there are several pieces of state legislation already in play that could be fast-tracked to protect immigrants, health care coverage, and climate goals.

The Green Party says New York State government must widen the safety net for vulnerable residents as the federal government takes it away.
