The DeWitt region is booming with business development this month

The Marshall's Plaza in DeWitt now has a new tennant in the old Party Store location. Unchartered is a furniture, home goods, and gifts retailer owned by The Paper Store.

Over the weekend, The Paper Store opened its subsidiary store Uncharted at the Marshall’s Plaza in DeWitt, where Party City once stood. It opened Saturday offering home decor, beauty supplies, and higher end name brand clothing.

Within a 10 minute walk down Erie Boulevard, Chik-Fil-A is preparing to open its doors at the corner of Bridge Street on Thursday.

A new Chik-Fil-A awaits opening with black iron tables, red umbrellas, limestone brick decorates lower third of building, classic red brick with iron accents decorates upper third, new white cement ramp with clear ADA entrance and designated parking.

Meanwhile, a Shake Shack fast food restaurant is racing to open its latest location across the street where the Friendly's store once stood.

Construction on Syracuse's first Shake Shack restaurant is nearly finished. Landscaping and parking await before it can open at Bridge Street and Erie Boulevard.

It was aiming to open in mid-July but remains under construction at the moment. The closest Shake Shack now is west of Syracuse at a NYS Thruway location near Geneva.
