New York launches its own Executive Order temporarily protecting patients' right to receive a Covid vaccination.

An Executive Order will allow New Yorkers to get Covid vaccines.

Gov. Kathy Hochul issued the order allowing pharmacists to provide vaccines for the next thirty days while a long term legislative solution is developed.

Hochul’s order expands who can prescribe and administer vaccines, such as nurse practitioners and pharmacists.

New York is also working with a collaboration of Northeastern states to develop evidence-based recommendations and approaches on vaccination, disease surveillance, and emergency preparedness.
