The Clay Town Board has scheduled an October public hearing to discuss the next steps in the Micron plan to build a chipmaking operation in the community.

The board will hold a public hearing to discuss changing zoning for about 21 acres of White Pine Commerce Park where the Micron semiconductor plant is to be built.

It’s a major step needed for the project to proceeds.

The hearing will take place October 6 at 7:35 p.m. at the Clay Town Hall.
