Members of the military, national guard, their spouses and veterans can find out about job opportunities at an event in Syracuse Wednesday, Sept. 24.The Military Community Job Fair will include local and national firms that help utilize military skills and experience in work roles.

Organizers with RecruitMilitary.com say veterans and those transitioning from military service can meet directly with representatives from firms that translate their military roles into civilian skilled professions.

There are 2 Military Community Job Fairs:

  • Military Community Job Fair at Syracuse University

Organizers said face-to-face access with employers can accelerate the transition from military service into a job in civilian life.

A National Veterans Health Service study found 47% of those transitioning from military to civilian life found it “somewhat difficult” or “very difficult” often due to a hard time finding a job and struggling to pay bills.
