Democrat Rob Santucci has narrowly won the Cicero town supervisor race against incumbent Republican Michael Aregano by a matter of less than 40 votes.

In 2021, Aregano beat his Democratic opponent Joyce Villnave 69% to 31%.

Natalie VanEpps, Aregano’s secretary from January to December of 2022 accused him of sexual harassment, harrasment and mistreatment in a affidavit she filed in 2024.

“Supervisor Aregano functionally made me a prisoner to my office desk,” VanEpps said in her affidavit to the Town of Cicero.

Additionally, Aregano was accused of buying steel for his own personal use at discounted prices meant for the city of Cicero.

Cicero voted for President Trump 53% to 47% during the 2024 Presidential election and had voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, but has now voted to elect a Democratic Town Supervisor in 2025.
