After 53 years, five boroughs and five games, New York finally exhaled with a ticker-tape parade to celebrate the Knicks' NBA Championship.
More than 2 million fans took to the streets in Manhattan with blue and orange confetti raining down.
Players and coaches rode in floats down the Canyon of Heroes, Broadway's famous stretch of skyscrapers, framing the event.
Team star Jalen Brunson chided fans who didn't believe in the team. Owner James Dolan promised the crowd they would make every effort to repeat as champions. Player Jose Alvarado, who grew up in projects in New York City, energized the crowd as a hometown hero.
The crowd included past players and Knicks' legends, such as Patrick Ewing and Walt 'Clyde' Frazier along with Ben Stiller, Martha Stewart, Alicia Keys and longtime Knicks fan Spike Lee.
