The market for electric vehicles took a hit in 2025 with the end of incentives to help people buy them - up to $7500.00. The Trump Administration change did slow EV purchases, and was a factor in the auto industry slowing production and marketing. The technology behind the cars, including expanded charging networks, continues to progress. And people are still purchasing EV's, whether for environmental reasons or to enjoy the driving experience and reduced maintenance.
ON this Deeper Shade of Green, we speak with members of the Electric Vehicle Association (EVA), who share their thoughts and predictions. David Otminski, President of the EVA-Western New York, Paul Borman, who's vice president and Adam Jester of Bamboo Strategy, an electric Vehicle and charging expert, all see reasons for optimism looking forward. They discuss an inevitable rise in EV popularity, the advance of technologies, and how the US might be falling behind the rest of the world.
