Syracuse Speaks-Life From A Student Perspective

High school students from across the country gathered at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School this summer for a three-week, pre college program. This month, they're starting or getting ready to head back to high school.

This is a cohort that experienced COVID lockdowns, remote learning, racial justice demonstrations and the Capitol insurrection. These are just a few of the significant and at times destabilizing developments in their young and formative years.

For this episode of Syracuse Speaks, we turned our mics over to them, and let them pose these questions to each other. They talked about their lives now and where they’re headed, their biggest concerns, their high school experience like, and where they want to be one year from now.

Thank you toJon Glass from the Newhouse Schoolfor inviting us into the classroom to partner with these students for this episode.
