The 315: For the Love of Justice

Rochester-based vocalist Danielle Ponder has an interesting story to tell.  The soulful singer whose touching lyrics often tell stories of pain and injustice was once a defense attorney who spent five years working as a public defender.  Her criminal justice experience inspires her work and she’ll bring her music and message to Syracuse on November 20th when she will perform a virtual concert for the Community Folk Art Center.

Community Folk Art Center’s Executive Director, Tanisha Jackson visited with the 3-1-5 to talk about the concert, For the Love of Justice, and the Center’s plans to provide virtual cultural events through their series Journey of Music Through the African Diaspora. To register for the concert visit Eventbrite.  And be sure to check out Danielle Ponder’s music https://youtu.be/FQkFQadPcWw">here.
