After a bounce-back victory on Sunday against Boston College, Syracuse women’s basketball (12-2, 2-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) heads on the road to take on Wake Forest (4-11, 0-3 Atlantic Coast Conference). WAER will broadcast the game beginning at 11 a.m. with McClurg Remodeling Countdown to Tipoff with the game starting at 11:30 a.m.

SU’s offense has been in full swing all season long. The Orange average nearly 80 points a game, which marks 4th best in the conference. A large part of Syracuse's offensive success is its ability to attack the glass. SU leads the ACC in offensive rebounds per game with nearly 18 boards. The Orange out-rebound their opponents by almost 10 each game. For head coach Felisha Legette-Jack, rebounding is something she presses her team about.

“That's what we harp on. That's what I stand for is the rebounding,” said Legette-Jack. “We believe that the rebound belongs to anyone who zipped it down, put it in, and zipped it up, who has heart. I think our team is exuding that a lot right now.”

A player that is showing a lot of that heart is freshman Alyssa Latham. In just her first season of college basketball, Latham is top 10 in the ACC in rebounds per game with 9, while tallying 11 points a game as well.

“It doesn't matter if you are 7’5” or 5’2”, it doesn't matter. We’re going to fight hard. We’re going to go for the ball,” Latham said.

Fellow forward Kyra Wood is also top 10 in the ACC in rebounds per game with just over 7 a game.

On the other side of the court, Wake Forest have struggled as of late dropping its last 3, including a 30 point thrashing from Miami (11-3, 1-2 Atlantic Coast Conference.) The Demon Deacons rank last in the ACC in record and have only scored above 60 points in 4 of their 14 games.

Syracuse and Wake Forest have faced off 11 times with SU holding a series advantage 8-3. However, the last 2 times SU has traveled to Winston-Salem, the Orange have left with a loss.
