The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and fired one of its own deputies on felony forgery charges.

The pistol license unit has been operating remotely since its COVID-19 closing, but the office will open its doors again for in-person appointments in February.

The measure to prevent guns in certain areas and enhance background checks was recently put on hold by a federal judge.
