Central New York athletes finish well in skating, luge events at Empire State Winter Games

Lake Placid once again welcomes athletes from CNY and the country for the latest edition of the Empire State Winter Games

New York State's Olympic-style competition features multiple sports, such as hockey and figure skating, but some are risky.

The Empire State Winter Games began with opening ceremonies in Lake Placid Thursday night. The 21 different sports will be contested through the weekend, including several adaptive sports.
