The New York State Traffic Safety Committee's holiday 'Drive Sobber or Get Pulled Over' enforcement effort led to 134,000 tickets, including 24,000 speeding and 4,600 for impaired driving.

The New York Governor’s Traffic Safety Council reported 131,000 tickets issued in increased enforcement leading to Labor Day. State & local agencies caught drivers on speeding, impaired, districted driving, other infractions.

There's optimism that an expanded bottle bill may get a vote, as well as a measure that aims to reduce plastic packaging.
