Antonio Delgado announced earlier this summer he’s splitting from Gov. Hochul and seeking the Democratic nomination to unseat her in 2026.

Former police captain Alison Esposito and former congressional representative Anthony Delgado face off in the race for New York Lieutenant Governor.

The governor’s choice of a new second in command comes three weeks after former lieutenant governor Brian Benjamin was indicted on federal corruption charges and resigned from office.
