Onondaga Community College is urgently looking for adjunct professors as enrollment climbs under the SUNY Reconnect program.

The free tuition program called SUNY Reconnect covers tuition for certain adult and returning students for 19 high-demand programs for those without a degree ages 25 - 55.

The two-year electromechanical technology program launched in Fall 2023, and about a dozen are graduating this spring. Twenty more graduate in December.

OCC's Applied Technology Department had a busy first semester with Micron related courses.

The $15 million simulation lab aims to expose students to real-world conditions in a semi-conductor manufacturing facility like the one Micron plans to build in Clay.

It's also the Onondaga Community College's 60th commencement.

This week Micron gave additional updates on its facility construction as U.S. President Joe Biden visited Syracuse.

OCC on Thursday will welcome U.S President Joe Biden for the very first time.

Onondaga Community College (OCC) is holding it's 59th Commencement this weekend.
