US Capitol Riot

Community members and leaders gathered in Syracuse to remember the events of January 6th and call for action at the federal level.

Congressmembers Claudia Tenney and John Katko, along with US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand made statements on the one year anniversary of the Capitol Riots. They denounce the violence, but each has different comments and hopes for outcomes of an investigation.

Former WAER reporter Scott MacFarlane has been reporting on the Capitol riot cases for months, including the recent Syracuse defendant who was a member of the Proud Boys.
