Onondaga County residents have a chance to weigh in Wednesday at a public hearing about the future of economic development on schools and communities.

It’s the second hearing under a new law approved last month allowing legislature committees to hold up to two hearings per year. The effort is largely spearheaded by the Democratic majority to boost the legislature’s outreach and engagement with residents.

Wednesday’s hearing is from 4:30 to 5:00 in the North Syracuse Junior High School Library. Lawmakers are holding a special committee meeting following the hearing which is open to the public.
