Textiles Close Up
The Textile Society of America (TSA) is delighted to present "Textiles Close Up: The Dressed Body & Wearable Innovations," a flagship program offering deep engagement with textiles through exclusive access to collections and behind-the-scenes tours.
This exciting program will take place over two days in Syracuse and Ithaca, New York, on June 23–24.
In collaboration with exceptional regional partners—including the Skä•noñh Great Law of Peace Center, The Sue Ann Genet Costume Collection at Syracuse University, The Cornell Fashion + Textile Collection in the Department of Human Centered Design, The Hybrid Body Lab at Cornell University, and The Everson Museum of Art—we will explore the evolving relationship between body, cloth, and innovation. The program offers unique perspectives on New York's textile history, ranging from Indigenous traditions to industrial innovations.
