Directed by Monk Rowe, The Five Families Ensemble stretches the boundaries of traditional chamber ensemble combining sounds from each of four instrument groups, brass woodwinds, percussion, and strings with the fifth contribution from the human voice. Their repertoire is arranged specifically for the group and ranges from Beethoven to Brubeck to the blues as well as original compositions. The Five Families Ensemble appeals to all ages by combining stellar musicianship with an engaging and welcoming attitude. Doors open at 7.

Wide variety of items for sale; something for everyone, including delicious homemade baked goods. The Bag Sale (on most items) starts at 9 a.m. on April 18.

A portion of the proceeds will be given to Haven of Hope for their homeless ministry.

Anyone wishing to donate may bring the items to the church beginning April 7 until April 9 from 9:30 a.m. to noon, or call the church for arrangements on a different day or time. Please use the East Utica entrance as the sale is downstairs.

The 2026 Literacy Parade & Children's Book Festival will return in June to help students and families get ready for the summer. Authors, illustrators, exhibitors, entertainment, and more will be available to attendees. Join us on Saturday, June 13, starting with the parade from Beauchamp Branch Library (2111 S. Salina St.) to McKinley-Brighton Elementary School (141 W. Newell St.) where the festival activities will take place in #Syracuse.

The 5th Annual Kids Fun Run will be back again this year! The kids will be doing a 100-meter dash prior to the main race.

The Kid’s Fun Run will take place before the race at 8:45 AM sharp – Your child must be up by the start line by 8:40 AM to guarantee their participation.

We will still keep our virtual option for those who will not be able to join us in person for this year’s event.
