Lobbyists spent more than $66 million at the New York Legislature in March and April, according to the State Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government.
That figure is $1 million higher than the first two months of the year and was largely focused on the state budget.
The most lobbied non-budget legislation during that period was the Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act.
The commission releases preliminary lobbying data every two months to increase accessibility and transparency in lobbying spending.
