Four individuals, including two teenagers, are in custody after being arrested for drug trafficking in Syracuse.
The New York State Police say an undercover member from the Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) set up a deal with suspect Eric L. Johnson, 18, who agreed to sell three bricks of fentanyl.
On Thursday, investigators watched Johnson leave his residence at 115 Erie Street to the agreed upon meeting location, and when Johnson arrived he was stopped and search warrants were executed on himself and his vehicle. While conducting the warrants, investigators found a digital scale with cocaine residue inside, and five bricks of fentanyl in his shoe.
A search warrant executed at Johnson’s residence resulted in the arrest of three additional people: a 15-year-old male, a 17-year-old male, and Frederick Johnson, 54.
All arrested were Syracuse residents.
During the search at 115 Erie Street investigators seized:
- Numerous plastic bags containing cocaine wiht an aggregate weight of 5.8 ounces.
- A loaded “ghost gun” equipped with a large capacity ammunition device
- Two glassine envelopes with fentanyl
- Two digital scales containing cocaine residue
- $70,000
- Two rifles
Both Frederick L. Johnson and Eric L. Johnson are lodged at the Onondaga County Justice Center pending arraignment, and the two juveniles were arraigned in Youth Part Court.
