18 Syracuse and CNY Businesses Receive Air Purifiers Donated by HealthWay Family of Brands

A mix of 18 local restaurants and other businesses in Syracuse and Central New York recently had new air purification systems installed through a $20,000 donation by HealthWay Family of Brands in Pulaski.  President Vinny Lobdell says there’s an easy way to check to see which businesses have the units that remove viral and bacterial particles to .007 microns.

“Kitty Hoynes, a landmark here in town, so that’s great.  The Evergreen in Clinton Square, Apizza Regionale… and Clean Air CNY, there’s a link you can go to and we’ll share that and you’ll see all the locations that now have our solutions; potentially engineered in the space, as well.”

The donation of Intellipure air systems may allow patrons of bars and restaurants to be more comfortable when going out to dine during the pandemic.  Kitty Hoynes’ of Armory Square, Owner David Hoyne says they’ve taken all the necessary precautions.

“We certainly pivoted a lot this year making sure that number one our staff is safe, secondly that our customers are safe and these beautiful units (donated air purifiers) certainly help that.”

Local leaders such as Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon says it’s important when businesses such as HealthWay step-up.

“This is just a great thing.  This is what we do as a community, we come together, we recognize that members of our community are hurting and we give back.  So, Vinny, thank you for that, these restaurants have really been through hell.”

Mayor Ben Walsh adds there has been a focus to help restaurants and the hospitality industry recently because they have been decimated by the pandemic.  Local businesses that received the air purifiers were identified through a collaboration with Centerstate CEO, the Downtown Committee, the City of Syracuse and Onondaga County.
