I host The Chill-E Show on Alt88 our HD3 station Wednesday nights from 5-7. I do my best to curate and showcase chill electric, trip hop, ambient pop, and acid jazz playlists. An array of international musicians, DJs and producers make their way through WAER and you can find a number of them on the Chill-E show. KAASI, iamnobodi, Alina Baraz, Sampha, Tennyson, Chrome Sparks, Erykah Badu, Cashmere Cat, and Maribou State are just a handful of artists I’ve shared with my listeners that embody a unique yet eclectic sound. Music is a universal language. The more extensive, inclusive, and even a bit obscure, the better the experience is for all of us.

As host of Alt & Pepper, I take it upon myself to use my two hours on air to spice up your life with some of the freshest and finest in alternative and indie music. Now, I realize those are umbrella terms containing endless subgenres, but I try to span a wide range of sounds with what I spin on the show — from emo rock to electronic pop and everything in between. Emily Schwing comes to the Inland Northwest by way of Alaska, where she covered social and environmental issues with an Arctic spin as well as natural resource development, wildlife management and Alaska Native issues for nearly a decade. Her work has been heard on National Public Radio’s programs like “Morning Edition” and “All things Considered.” She has also filed for Public Radio International’s “The World,” American Public Media’s “Marketplace,” and various programs produced by the BBC and the CBC. She has also filed stories for Scientific American, Al Jazeera America and Arctic Deeply.

I got hooked on the craft of Radio in Buffalo as a child when I first heard a station run a local re-creation of Orson Wells "War of the Worlds". Then I started to be interested in what made the parts all work, how things fit together.

Longtime investigative reporter and editor Robert Little leads NPR's investigations team, working with reporters, producers, and editors to develop investigative stories for all of NPR's broadcast and digital platforms. Since joining NPR in 2013, Little has directed and edited many of the network's signature investigative projects.

Mallory Noe-Payne is a freelance reporter and producer based in Richmond, Virginia. Although she's a native Virginian, she's most recently worked for public radio in Boston. There, she helped produce stories about higher education, including a nationally-airing series on the German university system. In addition to working for WGBH in Boston, she's worked at WAMU in Washington D.C. She graduated from Virginia Tech with degrees in Journalism and Political Science.
