Central New Yorkers can now apply for HEAP, which provides up to $1,000 to help eligible households pay energy bills, after a federal shutdown delayed the application period.

Starting November 1, 2024, NYSEG customers can apply for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) to help manage winter energy costs.
