A heroic new musical about connection in a time of conflict.
1918. As the world plunges further into unprecedented catastrophe, Grace Banker works as a telephone operator in New York City, proving herself more than capable in a male-dominated workforce. But when the U.S. Army recruits her to lead a group of women directing communications on the frontlines in France, she and her fellow “Hello Girls” will have to prove themselves again and again if they are to convince the top brass—and the country—that they belong in the fight. This new American musical reminds us that in the battle against hopelessness and hate, no weapon can match the power of the human spirit.

Join us on Zoom or in person for a lecture by landscape architect, Martha Lyon. Lyon recently completed an extensive Cultural Landscape Report for the Oneida Community Mansion House. A Cultural Landscape Report is a document that examines the complete history of a landscape for the way it developed in terms of plants, vegetation, architecture, and the ways in which it was used by humans throughout time. Lyon will share her richly illustrated findings about how the 13 acres surrounding the Mansion House have evolved from a farm to pleasure garden, private club to a museum campus and beyond.
This is the first time these findings will be shared publicly! It is not to be missed!
-All registrants will receive a Zoom link within 48 hours of registration.
-All proceeds support the preservation of the Oneida Community Mansion House and its educational programs.

Hilarity, failed dishes, and food fights ensue during this live “broadcast” of a public access cable cooking show hosted by two larger-than-life Italian sisters, Delphine and Carmela Calamari. The sisters sing and dance to such beloved Italian favorites as “Volare,” “Come On A My House,” “Botcha Me,” “Que Sera Sera,” “That’s Amore,” and of course, “Mambo Italiano!” as they try to make it through their final broadcast together in one piece.
You will laugh from start to finish as their singing, dancing, cooking and ad lib banter with guests on stage makes this a must see!

A Hitchcock spoof with hair-raising hijinks.
Alfred Hitchcock’s classic is given the madcap treatment in this award-winning comedy from playwright Patrick Barlow. London, 1935: Retired British Army Officer Richard Hannay has settled into quiet civilian life, but that tranquility is shattered when he’s unwittingly pulled into an international web of state secrets, double agents, and murder. Will Hannay go down for a crime he didn’t commit? Can he trust the beautiful, mysterious woman from the train? And what is the meaning behind the cryptic 39 Steps? Performed by a cast of four actors, this dizzying, hysterical parody is packed with non-stop thrills—a warmly comic love letter to the fiendishly fun spy stories of a bygone era.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is back at The Smith this October with romance, thrills, laughs, and an interactive shadow cast!
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the ultimate movie experience, a mad mix of classic horror/sci-fi, super-charged sensuality and outrageous fantasy. This cult classic from 1975 features the story of an “ordinary” couple and an unforgettable night at the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a mad-scientist from the planet Transexual, Transylvania. Brad and Janet have arrived on a special night, the night Dr. Furter’s “beautiful creature,” Rocky, the adonis humanoid created for the release of Frank’s “tension,” was to be born.
The Smith wants attendees to enjoy this ultimate movie experience (including costumes and having your audience participation script memorized,) but we do hope you’ll refrain from water spraying. It makes our mascara run and it ruins our nice big movie screen.
Rocky Horror goody bags – containing all items needed to participate along with the film – are available for purchase online in advance or at the bar prior to the show.
