FOCUS Greater Syracuse, Inc. invites the community to the 2026 Wisdom Keeper Celebration! Join FOCUS in honoring this year’s Wisdom Keepers, Tim Fox and Evelyn C. Ingram, as we celebrate their remarkable leadership and contributions to Central New York!

The 2026 Wisdom Keeper will be held at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, an exciting setting for this beloved celebration! Wisdom Keeper is a lively, welcoming celebration where leaders, professionals, and community members from all walks of life come together to connect, converse, and be inspired!

Guests will enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and plenty of opportunities to meet new people and reconnect with familiar faces! The highlight of the evening will be honoring our 2026 Wisdom Keeper Honorees, extraordinary individuals whose leadership, care, and vision continue to shape Central New York’s future.

American Cancer Society's annual walk to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer. 1.5-mile walk that starts and ends at Clinton Square. Activities begin at 9 AM, walk begins at 11 AM. Activities include fun photo opps, pink merchandise tent, free kids activities, breast cancer information and screening resources, breast cancer survivor & thriver gifts and recognition, 360 photo booth, food truck, fundraisers, music and more. Rain or shine.

This special event will bring together community leaders, supporters, volunteers, partner agencies, and donors as we reflect on the past year, celebrate accomplishments, and look ahead to the future of our work in Cayuga County.

On November 11th from 8am - 3pm Dr. Joan Laura will be a hero in her own right. She is offering FREE dental care to any Vet who walks in through her doors. This will be Dr. Laura's 15th year helping vets, and she couldn't be prouder. "My parents instilled a strong sense of patriotism in each of their kids." This due to the fact that her father, the late Dr. John Laura... also a dentist served in the Korean war and her Grandfather, Anthony Ross, was a World War 1 vet. "My Dad started this dental practice in 1948. I am the 5th generation in this building," states Dr. Laura.

Each vet can choose either a cleaning, a filling or an extraction. This is a walk in service. First come - first served. Proof of service requested. The office is located at Eastwood Dental, 2326 James Street, Syracuse, NY. No eligible patient will be turned away. To date Dr. Laura has helped nearly 500 Veterans.
