Dec 13 Saturday
Come join in the singing of historic carols, including Wassailing songs that celebrate community and the joy of the season! Sondra & John Bromka (also known as Bells & Motley Olden Music) celebrate the holiday season with very special music. Featured will be the artists’ unique collection of instruments from Long Ago and Far Away!
Our Baltimore Woods Nature Center setting, surrounded by forest, will bring us to especially focus on the connection of music and wonder. Music will be played from 2-3pm and musicians will be available after the concert to answer questions and share information about their instruments.
More details: This program is free for all ages and is made possible through the CNY Arts Grants for Regional Arts and Cultural Engagement regrant program thanks to a New York State Senate Initiative supported by the NYS Legislature, the Office of the Governor and administered by the New York State Council on the Arts.
Dec 14 Sunday
Join us as we celebrate 40 years of singing for peace and social justice with our Winter Solstice concert, Coming Home. The evening will feature songs of resistance, hope, community, and renewal. Many are familiar favorites from years past performed by our adult, teen, and children’s choirs.
This year’s Winter Solstice concert, Coming Home, is both a reflection and a renewal honoring the voices and moments that brought us here, and looking ahead to the next 40 years of community, courage, justice, and music.
We’ll gather in song, memory, and hope, continuing our cherished tradition of the annual quilt giveaway and presenting the People’s Peace Award to the Syracuse Immigrant and Refugee Defense Network (SIRDN) through the Workers’ Center of Central New York.
Streaming will be available for online viewing.
