Boone Kilpatrick
ReporterBoone Kilpatrick is a regional, state, and national award-winning journalist. He joined WAER in 2025 as an undergraduate at Syracuse University where he is concurrently studying broadcast and digital journalism. He is looking forward to graduating in June of 2027. As a reporter at WAER, Boone is responsible for finding and producing original stories for our digital and broadcast platforms.
Boone began his career in broadcasting in his hometown of Boston where he was a play-by-play broadcaster at Always on Media, My Hockey Live, and NFHS Network.
He enjoys performing improv comedy, listening to the Grateful Dead, and finding interesting stories to tell.
His ability to create compelling stories on a wide arrange of topics has earned him multiple awards this year on regional to national levels, including a prestigious National Murrow Award.
