The Syracuse Chorale invites you to an inspiring evening of choral music at its spring concert, “We Can Mend the Sky.” With stirring works by Jake Runestad, Morten Lauridsen, and Stephen Paulus, the Syracuse Chorale celebrates its 73rd year with this celebration of powerful music and community at 7 pm on April 25th at Holy Cross Church on East Genesee Street in Dewitt.

This is the 30th annual Made in NY exhibition, a juried show at the Schweinfurth Art Center located in Auburn, NY, that features work by artists who live in New York State. The exhibit is an opportunity for artists to showcase their work in a competitive, juried exhibition. Prizes will be awarded, including $1000 for Best of Show.
In August 2016, Syracuse artist Alex Johns-Hamer was at the Standing Rock protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline as a media photographer and correspondent, drinking in the scene and making photographs. Images from that life-altering trip and more are on display in his exhibition.

Up & coming Artist, Catmospheric brings a touch of magic to the stage. Native to Rochester NY, Catmospheric blends folk-rock with ambient synths on her electro-acoustic harp. With an assortment of folktronica soaked tunes that meander through originals, delving into lyrical quests and fairy-like melodies, to ambient soundscapes, to classic covers from beloved folk-rock history. Catmospheric weaves sound to surely ease your heart.The Smith Opera House presents the Cabaret Series. Every other week a band/artist will take over the Cabaret for a musical showcase. Grab a drink, some free popcorn and relax as you immerse yourself in the local talent brought to you by the Finger Lakes!
This show is in our downstairs cabaret. Entry will be through the volunteer door on the side of the building. This show will be seated general admission- first come, first served.
