In August 2016, Syracuse artist Alex Johns-Hamer was at the Standing Rock protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline as a media photographer and correspondent, drinking in the scene and making photographs. Images from that life-altering trip and more are on display in his exhibition.
Boots at the Brewery brings an energetic line dancing experience to Middle Ages Brewing Company in Syracuse. It’s designed with beginners in mind, offering easy-to-follow instruction alongside plenty of time to hit the dance floor. The playlist blends country classics with pop and hip-hop, showing how the tradition has evolved while still honoring its roots. At its core, the event is all about community, inviting dancers of every age and skill level to come together and have fun!

This is the 30th annual Made in NY exhibition, a juried show at the Schweinfurth Art Center located in Auburn, NY, that features work by artists who live in New York State. The exhibit is an opportunity for artists to showcase their work in a competitive, juried exhibition. Prizes will be awarded, including $1000 for Best of Show.

This year, the Mansion House is joining the celebration!
Stop by to experience a unique poetry installation featuring works written by Oneida Community members and their descendants. The best part? You’re invited to take a poem with you and keep the tradition going.
Included with museum admission. No registration required.
