But when a spirited candy skeleton suddenly springs to life, Vita finds herself on a magical, musical journey to unravel the true meaning of Día de Muertos. An exciting bilingual/bicultural musical for the entire family, with traditional regional music and dance from Mexico to celebrate Day of the Dead!
Meet Sugar Skull, a charismatic skeleton with a secret or two. With her skeletal new friend, Vita dances with ancient ancestors, sings with a sorrowful sorceress, escapes the trickster Chaneques, and even meets the famous Catrina Calavera. But can this clever youth gather the missing pieces needed for her family ofrenda before it’s too late?

Holiday Shoppes offers boutique shopping at its best, featuring an impressive array of unique and distinctive artisans, just in time for the holidays.

Enjoy live music, raffles of selected goods from the Shoppes’ Artisans, concession stands, cookies with Santa, and more.

The Junior League of Syracuse is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. We’re proud to partner with several groups throughout the area, such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Syracuse, the Samaritan Center, the YWCA, the Syracuse City School District’s Brighton Academy 6th-grade girls, CNY Diaper Bank, and more. We also train our members to be strong leaders and professionals by sponsoring travel and attendance at leadership and development conferences throughout the country.

It’s Christmas time at the Cincinnati Zoo, and everyone there eagerly anticipates the birth of Bella, the zoo’s first baby hippo. Seven-year-old Lois Jean, the zookeeper’s daughter, is especially excited—she’s counting on Bella to reunite her family in time for the holidays. Then the unexpected happens, and only one person can prevent tragedy. Will Santa arrive in time to save Bella—and Christmas?

Traditional guided tours of the Mansion and holiday decorations will be available. This year our amazing decorators will be going all out with Victorian Christmas charm and décor! Private group tours of 8 or more may also be scheduled through the end of December by calling (315)655-3200, ext. 106. Event admission: Adults $6.00, Children12 and under $2.00.

Join us for A Victorian Holiday at Lorenzo! Built in 1807, Lorenzo has been restored to its 1890-1930 time-period which has inspired this year’s theme. Our amazing decorators will be going all out with Victorian Christmas charm and décor! Look for traditional glass ornaments, paper chains, popcorn and cranberry strands, lace, beads and more. With support from the Friends of Lorenzo, this annual holiday celebration will feature refreshments, live music, and horse-drawn sleigh/wagon rides. Event admission: Adults $6.00, Children12 and under $2.00.
