This week Governor Hochul commenced a long-promised study of the state’s past pandemic policies. At the same time, critics are raising questions over campaign donations made to Governor Hochul by a company that was paid over $600 million to deliver COVID tests to the state.

A bill from Senator Chuck Schumer would provide monetary incentives and research support to lure chip companies to the U.S. That may bring jobs to Central New York.

Governor Kathy Hochul said the state was prepping for a possible new surge of COVID-19 this fall, but she said no new rules like indoor masking are anticipated right now.

Gov. Hochul said there’s no pay to play going on regarding campaign donations from a small family owned company that was paid over $600 million to deliver COVID tests to the state.

8. Last chances for Syracuse residents to offer feedback on final draft of redrawn council district map

The current map was drawn in 2000, and the city's population has changed significantly since then.

The Syracuse Redistricting Commission is set to present its final maps to the Common Council on August 1st.

A community leader is taking a new approach to reduce violence in Syracuse by incorporating male role models in young people's lives.

Yoki Tang was raised in a big city of China called Shanghai. He speaks Mandarin, Korean and English. His majors are Broadcast Digital Journalism and Selective Study In Education and would be graduated in May 2023. The desire to get the facts right and the quest for accurate facts made Yoki want to study broadcast and journalism in the first place.
